A Church for the community

St Paul cooperating Church has been part of the community for 37 years. We believe that we are called by Christ to serve others and to be a beacon of hope in the Papamoa community. Our love for God and for others compels us to keep on reaching out and making a difference in the lives of others, by creating a welcoming and lovingly warm place for people to meet the Saviour.

Whatā€™s on?

  • We share in the Lordā€™s meal every first Sunday of the month during our morning Worship service. All are welcome at His table. We use grape juice and bread (gluten-free option is available).

  • Every Thursday we gather for a whole lot of fun! At 10:00 we start by sharing a cuppa and a snack. After our cuppa, we play card and board games, crochet, knit, and chat. There is so much to do! You will never be bored when you come to the Friendship group on a Thursday. Come join us in the hall for a good time and make a friend or two.

  • Every last Sunday of the month we dedicate our whole service to reaching out to our community. Throughout the year we support numerous organizations by taking up a special offering during our Mission Sunday service. We also encourage all to bring a plate as we share a meal during the service. The aim of our Mission Sunday is to grow closer to God, to others outside our church family, and to one another.

Meet the Potgieterā€™s

The Rev. Philipp, his wife Monique, his daughter Carli, and his son Philipp (jr), came to join us in August 2019. Philipp has been an ordained minister for 9 years and he and Monique have been married for 13 years. They are an immigrant family from South Africa but they have become like family to us all. They love the outdoors and enjoy riding bicycles and hiking together as a family. Monique likes long jogs and hiking. She is also a dancer and teaches hoop dancing in the Mount. Philipp is a kayak fisherman, and rock climber, and enjoys cycling. For them, family is everything and they love living life to the fullest. Come say hi to them when you visit our church family.
